The atmosphere on the PS was just right – our guest’s had room to relax, there was plenty of seating (rustic style on the wool bales), and there was also ample shade, so it was nice and comfortable even with the 30C weather.
The team exceeded our expectations when it came to meeting our requests. Perfect Party Hire was given access to the boat in the morning, and the caterers had ample time to stock the boat before the cruise.
We liked the entertaining Captain who shared banter with our guests, and negotiated the huge Pevensey upstream and back.

With an Australian bride and an English groom, our wedding had to be an unique Australian experience with a healthy dose of fun thrown in.
Our late afternoon cruise was the perfect ingredient. After the ceremony at St Mary’s, we boarded the PS Pevensey and the PS Arbuthnot, complete with canapés, drinks and a jazz quartet to cruise down the river to Morrisons for the reception.
Locals and international guests alike couldn’t stop talking about the cruise all evening.
I want to thank everyone at the Port for making our wedding day spectacular. We felt very welcome and having some truly amazing memories.
